Acumetis expands global Medical Affairs team with new scientific and strategic talent

Acumetis welcomes Kate Ashworth, Angie Gao, and Liz Reader as the Medical Affairs team expands its global expertise across scientific strategy, medical communications, stakeholder engagement, and lifecycle support.

Welcoming our new talent

Acumetis is expanding its Medical Affairs team with the addition of Kate Ashworth, Angie Gao, and Liz Reader. Each brings a different mix of scientific, strategic, communications, and consulting experience. Together, they add depth to a growing global practice built to help clients turn science and insight into action.

Medical Affairs is playing an increasingly important role for pharma and biotech clients. Teams are being asked to connect evidence, scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, patient perspectives, and commercialisation strategy in more practical ways. By expanding the team, Acumetis is strengthening its support across the product lifecycle, from early evidence planning and medical strategy through launch and ongoing engagement.

Kate, Angie, and Liz bring experience across Medical Affairs strategy, scientific communications, evidence planning, stakeholder engagement, medical education, behavioural science, commercialisation strategy, launch planning, research, and analytics. Their backgrounds span pharma, biotech, consulting, medical communications, and academic research. That range of experience helps Acumetis bring practical, well-rounded support to complex client challenges.

Strengthening a global Medical Affairs practice

The strength of the Acumetis Medical Affairs team comes from the range of perspectives within it. The growing team brings experience from global pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology organisations, specialist consultancies, medical communications agencies, and academic research environments.

That mix matters. Clients are rarely facing one-dimensional challenges. They are working across complex evidence needs, changing stakeholder expectations, competitive markets, evolving patient priorities, and the practical realities of launch and lifecycle planning.

Medical Affairs also increasingly operates across geographies, functions, and stakeholder groups. Clients need partners who can work with international teams, understand regional market needs, and bring different disciplines together.

The addition of Kate, Angie, and Liz strengthens that capability. Their backgrounds expand Acumetis’ ability to provide deeper therapy area expertise, broader strategic support, stronger scientific engagement, and greater delivery strength across global and regional programmes.

This also reflects how Acumetis approaches Medical Affairs. It is not a standalone function. It is a connector between scientific strategy, evidence generation, medical communications, stakeholder engagement, patient insight, and commercial decision-making.
