About Marisol

Leveraging cross-therapeutic expertise, I bring deep insight into biotech stakeholder needs and drive effective solutions to complex strategic and operational challenges.

Marisol Zuluaga joined Acumetis in 2017 and is currently a Principal. She has extensive experience across different therapeutic areas, including neurology, autoimmune, hematology, oncology, and bone. Her work includes market analysis, competitive assessments, and opportunity and strategic assessments.​​ Prior to joining, she integrated five international teams in Colombia, the US, France, the Netherlands, and Italy, Her work covered diverse scientific domains such as biomaterials, molecular imaging, chemistry, and tissue engineering, reflecting a strong multidisciplinary foundation.

Marisol worked closely with professionals from different biotechnology areas, including industry, prescribing physicians, and clinical investigators, giving her the ability to understand their priorities and address their operational and strategic needs. She participated in national and international conferences and published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Marisol holds a PhD in medical and biological engineering from the University Sorbonne Paris-Cité. During her doctoral research at the Laboratory for Vascular Translational Science (LVTS), she acquired knowledge in the fields of biomaterials and cardiovascular research.
