About Ramil

Ramil Burden is an international biopharmaceutical executive with more than two decades of experience leading large-scale businesses, transforming global organizations, and delivering sustained growth across pharmaceuticals, vaccines, advanced analytics, and healthcare services. He is recognized for driving innovation, operational excellence, and commercial execution across the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia, combining deep expertise in corporate strategy, AI-driven analytics, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), real-world evidence, and end-to-end product commercialization.
Previous to Acumetis, Ramil served as CEO of Optum Life Sciences. Prior to Optum, he spent more than 16 years at GSK, where he held a number of senior leadership roles spanning commercial operations, strategy, and general management across global and emerging markets. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Adviser to the UK Prime Minister on trade and industry policy.
Ramil is known for building and inspiring high-performing teams, scaling data and technology businesses, launching impactful pharmaceutical products, and navigating complex regulatory, policy, and government environments.
He holds a master’s degree in economics from Birkbeck, University of London, a master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Kent, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and German from the University of Portsmouth.
