Richard Tolley

Principal, Global Value and Access

Richard is responsible for understanding client needs, crafting tailored solutions, and delivering outcomes that address client objectives, building lasting partnerships that deliver value. With over 20 years of experience in life science consulting, he has particular expertise in pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategy, including payer value communication.

Throughout his consulting career, Richard has held roles spanning foundational research and analysis, project and program management, and the development and delivery of implementable strategies. His experience includes working with a wide range of pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech clients across diverse therapy areas and geographies, continuously tracking and addressing the evolving market landscape. Prior to joining FIECON, Richard served as Head of Market Access EU at Ipsos and held senior roles at Parexel and HERON, as well as delivery-focused positions at IMS and Cambridge Pharma Consultancy.

Richard’s particular areas of strength include landscape assessment, payer value propositions, evidence generation strategy, pricing and reimbursement strategy, value dossiers, and negotiation training. With more than 20 years of experience in Market Access consulting, Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of York.
